Happy New Year! Welcome Back! Upcoming LS Events!

We are so excited to see everyone when school resumes on January 5th!  We'd like to extend a special welcome to two new students who will be joining us, Sarah in second grade and Ethan in the Cardinals room.  We are so happy to have Sarah, Ethan and their families as part of our community.

The winter months bring many exciting new opportunities.

Home and School will host a Wednesday morning coffee hour at 8:00 on January 7th in the LS Admissions office.  Please stop by for a hot beverage and a morning snack!

New Extended Day Enrichment courses will begin soon.  Make sure you turn in your child's registration if you are interested!

The Abington Friends School MLK Day of service is January 19th. Collection boxes for several projects will be located in the LS front lobby.  We are collecting used books of all types and used clothing/shoes for all ages.  There will also be a loose change collection to support the purchase of winter care items for the homeless. Project registration information will be sent home this Tuesday.

Kathy's kindergarten will be hosting the first ever kindergarten run bake sale in support of preserving endangered species. Date to be announced soon.

We will be welcoming four new student teachers, Chelsea, Jennifer, Mary and Seth, to our community in the kindergarten and Catbird rooms toward the end of January.

In February, fourth grade will host the Colonial Trade Fair for all Lower School classes and fifth grade.

There is much, much more, but this gives you a glimpse into the weeks ahead. Thank you for the kindness and generosity extended to all in Lower School as we headed into Winter Break.  We cannot wait to see you all on Monday!
