Service Projects and More Maple Tree Tapping

It has been a wonderful week in Lower School. This week during our Meeting for Worship time we worked on community service projects in our classrooms. Our EC classes baked beautiful loaves of banana bread, kindergarten and a third grade class created friendship soup jars, first and second graders prepared hot chocolate cups to warm people’s hearts, and one third and both fourth grade classes made some cozy fleece blankets. We also created some beautiful greeting cards and Valentines for those in elder care facilities. The time working together was such a beautiful way for Lower School to share love and light with the extended community.

Today the early childhood and kindergarten classes had their chance to learn about maple tree tapping. Although the mud and rain kept us indoors, there were plenty of hands-on activities to help our youngest students learn more about trees and making syrup!
