Science Night Highlights!

AFS was certainly very busy on Thursday night!  The entire school was filled with students, parents and teachers immersed in learning about our science program at AFS.  From kindergarten chicks to our award winning Roobotics team, every corner of our school buzzed with excitement and wonder.  The Lower School library was very busy with three different experiments presented by the early childhood classrooms.  In every classroom, students presented their science work and there were experiments and hands-on science activities to do.  We had lots of outside guests as well; Primex Garden Center, the Academy of Natural Sciences, Briar Bush Nature Center and the Tookany Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership.  If you'd like to see a few more photos of the fun you can go to this link.  https://www.dropbox.com/sc/gjav8rkbhkt09eb/AAAj9rXMRIEHLy9aXl41C3pKa
Alix Davatzes, parent and scientist made fossil prints with the students.
4th grade students presented their Mold Symposium boards.
3rd grade students presented their inventions for the 1st Annual Invention Convention.
The chicks in Kindergarten were very popular!
Primex Garden Center made seed balls with the students.
