Lower School Book Club

The joy of discussing a good book with friends is the foundation for our Lower School book club for adults. Monday morning October 6th found adult family members gathered in the library to discuss the book Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan. Although not everyone had finished the book, all members had made connections and reactions to at least the major themes and characters. Over coffee, tea and pastry, conversation flowed. The connections we make to our own lives and to other books filled our hearts and minds as we listened and shared our thoughts. Our Lower School students were so proud of their family members that joined in this discussion. This is such great modeling for your children, to see their family member’s investment in reading and talking about books.

Join us for our next book club! We are meeting on Monday November 10th from 8:00am to 9:00 am in the Lower School library to discuss Close Your Eyes, Hold Hands by Chris Bohjalian.

The schedule for the next few book club meetings is below. All book club discussions are in the Lower School library and run from 8:00-9:00am. A light breakfast is served.
