Last Friday morning, The second grade classes hopped on a bus for the short trip to Rydal Park. When we arrived, we were met by Eric and Stacey, who coordinate activities for the residents. Danielle and Mindy's class went to visit residents in the assisted living area and Sandy and Kyle's class went to the medical wing. Both groups participated in a fall craft activity while they chatted with many of the residents, and also enjoyed a snack together.
The students had brought their hand-made teddy bears which they proudly showed off and they also sang for the residents! There were smiles all around as new friends were made. This visit is the first of what we hope will be a regular connection at Rydal Park.
