4th Grade Craft Artifacts from Nature

This week the fourth grade finished creating artifacts that correlate with their Lenape research. The students foraged on campus for sticks, leaves, acorns, seed pods and anything that they could imagine being repurposed for tools, houses, clothing, foods, graves, gods and medicines.

Students quickly got to work crafting their found items from nature into 2 and 3-d objects that they used to help support their research .

They painted up a map of what they imagined a Lenape village would look like.

Each student presented their research and artifacts and selected a place on the map for their work
to reside.
Students had the opportunity to learn from one another about other facets of Lenape life in the 1600s.
