The second graders were excellent role models, as they were respectful and kind. Also, the kindergartners got a glimpse of what it is like to be an accomplished reader, and it undoubtedly motivates them towards becoming more proficient in reading!
Whenever our students have the opportunity to interact with older students, all parties benefit . The older students get a taste of responsibility, and the younger students get to enjoy being nurtured by people they admire. We recently got to sit with our second grade friends in the meeting house, as we have now joined the rest of the Lower School at Meeting for Worship.
