Field Day and More!

Field Day is here! There will be a barbecue lunch for all AFS students kindergarten and older before Field Day festivities begin at 1:00. All beef hotdogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chips, and apples will be served. If you prefer that your child eat their own lunch from home, please feel free to send it in with them. If you're happy to have the day off from making a lunch, that is great too.

Please have your child wear a blue or white tee shirt corresponding to his/her assigned team. Sneakers are a necessity as well as comfortable pants/bottoms to run in.

After Field Day kindergarten, third graders and new fourth graders will participate in the annual scarecrow build. Please bring items for the Aid for Friends breakfast bags (juice boxes, individual oatmeal packets, hot cocoa packets, granola bars and apple sauce) if you are able. Collection bins are located outside the third and kindergarten classrooms.

Next week we look forward to the AFS Book Fair. Students will have the opportunity to visit and check out books that might be of interest to them. Teachers will send a message home regarding the process of purchasing books.

Fall is a busy and wonderful time at AFS!
