Greetings to all at the
conclusion of this lovely fall week!
We enjoyed talking with families at Back to School Night and sharing the
many adventures in learning that will be part of your child’s experience in
Lower School this year. We have a
number of upcoming events:
- At 11:00 a.m this Sunday, September 21st, we welcome families to our New Families Meeting for Worship. This is an opportunity to visit the Abington Friends Meetinghouse at 520 Meetinghouse Road and share in a Meeting for Worship experience. You'll get to know members of our extended community and learn more about the School's connection with Abington Meeting. Refreshments will be served following Meeting.
- All families are warmly invited on Wednesday, September 24th to participate in Meeting for Worship with their child's class. Kindergarten and younger friends will meet in the Lower School music room at 8:30 a.m. First grade through fourth grades will meet in the Meetinghouse at 8:25 a.m.
- Next week is the last opportunity to sign up for fall enrichment courses. There are three courses still available: YOGA, Introduction to Strings and Clay Treasures. Contact Jason at jnovak@abingtonfriends.net if you are interested in signing your child up for one of these terrific courses.
- Tuesday, September 23rd is Lower School Picture Day!
- Tuesday, September 23rd is also Spirit Day! Wear blue and white to show your AFS spirit at the various sporting events after school!
- Friday, September 26th at 8:00 is the first monthly coffee hosted by Home & School. Join us for coffee and conversation in the Lower School admissions space.
