Raku Ceramic Firing Next Week

We are very excited to have Brett Thomas, our visiting artist, coming next week to complete our all-school outdoor raku ceramic firing. To learn more about Brett, visit his website: http://www.mobileraku.com/

Lower School students will be firing the pieces they made next Wednesday April13th and the morning of Thursday April 14th. If you are interested in volunteering at this event, please contact Amanda at amilz@abingtonfriends.net or your Home and School clerk, and we can direct you to the VolunteerSpot sign up. 

We are also looking for donations of newspaper to help kindle the fires! If you have any extra newspaper, please bring it to the art room. 

Excitement is growing around what is sure to be a tremendous experience. All of the lower schoolers' raku pieces will be on display as a part of the Lower School STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Night on April 21st.
